Our Story

The Ozarks Don't Need a Filter

Blue Spring Campground sits on the quiet edge of Shannon County, where the forest closes in and cell service goes to die — exactly the way it should. We've been welcoming campers, hikers, and anyone who needs to hear their own thoughts again for years.

Whether you roll in with a pop-up camper, pitch a tent under the pines, or spend a weekend in one of our two rustic cabins, you're trading noise for nightjars, traffic for trailheads, and screen time for star time. That's the deal.

Where to Stay

Two Cabins. One Rule: Unplug.

What to Do

The Trail Starts at Your Tent

Shannon County is one of Missouri's most rugged and least visited counties. That means your backyard is also someone else's undiscovered paradise.

A hiker on a rocky trail through the Ozark highlands with layered mountain views

Hiking & Trail Running

Miles of unmarked trails through old-growth forest, rocky ridges, and hidden hollows. Bring good boots — and leave the GPS at home.

A calm Ozark river with clear water, fish jumping, and tree-lined banks at golden hour

Fishing & Creek Casting

Native brook trout and smallmouth bass in nearby streams. Catch and release only — the best ones are the ones that get away.

Stargazing

Zero light pollution. The Milky Way is visible from the fire pit most nights. Bring a blanket and stay up too late.

Foraging & Nature Walks

Morel season in spring is legendary here. Guided walks available — just ask at check-in.

A mountain biker on a dusty singletrack trail through Missouri Ozark woodlands

Mountain Biking

Rugged Ozark terrain with technical descents and scenic ridgelines. Trails range from beginner to expert.

Wildlife Viewing

Turkey, deer, fox, and occasional bear. The campground itself is wildlife habitat — respect the distance.
